Bring Back RSS Functionality to Social Media Feeds
Social media sites such as Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter used to have an RSS feed. However, this has already been removed for most sites. We've developed this extension for those people who still want to have the RSS functionality.
RSS Feeds
The RSS specification includes several data elements that allow for the description of a content item and other characteristics of that item. When a feed is delivered to a reader's computer, the reader's RSS application automatically reads these elements and displays them in a special form that is understandable to the reader. The elements include links to the feed's content, a description of the content, and sometimes a list of links to content on other websites. These links appear on the RSS application's display, and the user can click on them to see the content on that website.
Some examples of elements in RSS feeds include:
- Description: This element contains a description of the item.
- Link: This element contains the URL of the item.
- Categories: This element contains a list of categories that the item is in.
- Author: This element contains the author of the item.
- Language: This element contains the language of the item.
